Current FABE Projects
Every child is an individual – FABE works to support the aspirations of each student by helping augment the standard school curriculum. From technology to physical fitness and more, FABE continues to provide support to help our students see and work towards their full potential.
Physical Fitness with Coach Penny
FABE provides funding for Coach Penny throughout the year. She assists Coach Carper and allows the children extra PE time during the week.
Media Center with Mrs. Spina
FABE provides funding for Mrs. Spina, ABE’s Media Center Specialist. Mrs. Spina implemented the computer skills curriculum she teaches to all of the ABE students. Mrs. Spina also oversees the video crew, a group of students who produce the ABE daily morning announcements.
ABE Grounds Maintenance
FABE funds the landscaping maintenance on a monthly basis for the track field and landscape in front of the school.
Dolphin Dash
FABE co-sponsors this annual Fun Run event with Atlantic Beach Elementary PTA.
Basket Blast
FABE donates the Rock Wall and Bounce House to this annual PTA Fundraiser.
Fence Beautification
“Pretty in Pink not Chain Link” – In response to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Highschool incident in Parkland, Florida, Duval County is committed to fencing the perimeter of every school with 6 foot high chain link. Our pink school is at the front door of our community. FABE is working with Duval County to upgrade the chain link to an architectural style fence that meets Duval County requirements.
